Dorothy Virginia Wright
May 19, 1940 - July 31, 2026
Dorothy Wright was the wife of Joe Wright, and together they founded Wright Memorial Mortuary, Inc. At age 86, Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Wright of Rome, Georgia, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at her residence on Friday, July 31, 2026, following a period of declining health. She will be missed.

NeeNee retired from the Department of Homeland Security, December 31, 2025, after 20 years of service. NeeNee is the granddaughter of Tom & Virginia Wright. K'Nisha Batie
K'Nisha, earned a Master's degree from Berry College in Education Leadership. In addition, K'Nisha was appointed to the position of Director of the South Rome Early Learning Centre in Rome, GA. K'Nisha is the great-granddaughter of the founding members of the PWG family reunion, Mark & Glennie Wright, and the granddaughter of Dorothy Wright Batie, Daughter of
Alan Batie and Sherri Ragland.
Achievement
Ethan Wright
Ethan is the great-grandson of PWG family reunion founding members, Mark and Glennie Wright, the grandson of Ray Allen and Janette Wright, and the son of Terron and Latoyi Wright. He earned the prestigious Emmy and Edward R Murrow awards for his exceptional journalism work. Ethan is a University of Georgia graduate and works as a multimedia journalist for WKOT News Channel 6 in Tulsa, OK. We have our very own news journalist ...a chip off the Ray Allen Wright block. Ray would be proud of you Ethan. The PWG family are proud of your accomplishments!

Holcy Furlong
Holcy is the son of Traci Alexander, the grandson of the late Henrietta Wright Alexander, and the great-grandson of Mark and Glennie Wright. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland (Global campus) in December 2025. After completing 7 years in the United States Army, he transitioned to civilian life securing a position with Booz Allen Hamilton. We Congratulate you on your accomplishments!

Jordyn Starr and Domonique Thomas
Jordyn's beau popped the question on June 13, 2026 surrounded by family and close friends. The date of the nuptials have not yet been set, however, the happy couple is expecting a baby girl at Summers end.
Jordyn is the daughter of Meredith J and Allen Starr.

David A. Alexander
Congratulations to David Alexander of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on his retirement after many years of practicing law. As he closes this chapter and begins a new one, we wish him plenty of time to relax, enjoy family, and make wonderful new memories. David is the son of the late Henrietta Wright Alexander.

CJ Miller
CJ recently transferred to University of Toledo and will be on the starting line-up for the Toledo Rockets. He is the grandson of Sharral and Jess Wright Jr, great grandson to Jess Wright Sr and Margaret Price Wright. CJ is making his mom, Erin Wright Horton, so very proud as he pursues his education in communications.

Kelly and Mitchell Robinson
After an incredible 40 years, 8 months and 2 days of government service, Kelly retired on December 31. 2025. Not to be outdone, Mitchell has also hung up his hat after a full career featuring a military retirement, a government retirement, and two government contracts. They are currently just chillin' and planning the next big travel adventures!

Brandon and Carlecia Scruggs
Brandon recently cut the ribbon on his new business. He is officially a Financial Solutions Manger specializing in: Debt action plans to eliminate debt and mortgage fast, retirement strategies, living benefit, growing money tax free, and building wealth.

Erika Wright Vaughan
Erika officially retired from federal service on December 31st and currently lives in Atlantic Beach, South Carolina. She spends much of her time visiting her grandson Elias in Jacksonville Florida. He recently turned 1 years old in June. Erika is the daughter of Gloria Wright and the late Ted Wright. Congratulations and we celebrate your accomplishments!

Spencer Daniel Lewis
Spencer graduated Cum Laude in May 2026 from James Madison University. Spencer was Commissioned 2nd Lt in the MU ROTC Ceremony on May 23, 2026. He is now in the US Army and Stationed in Oklahoma. Spencer is the grandson of Gwendolyn Huguley-Lewis
and the late Sherwood (Woody) Lewis.

Gloria Jean Tiller passed away January 2026. ,Gloria was a woman of boundless curiosity and warmth, was born November 15, 1948, in Centre, Alabama to Vernon Theodore Tiller, Jr. and Laura Belle Price. In a family of five siblings-Carolyn, Gary, June, Larry, and Harry, she was the youngest of three girls. Gloria's precocious spirit early on signaled a life that would be defined by determination, deep connections and friendships, and tireless service. A proud graduate of Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), Class of 1970, Gloria earned her degree in economics and found a lifelong sisterhood with the sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her devotion to her alma mater never wavered; she served faithfully as a Class Agent, always championing the legacy of her
beloved JCSU.

Cheryl was born on June 12, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Willie and Ethel Starr. She was the first-born daughter and the third of six children. Cheryl was educated
in the Detroit Public School System and graduated from Southwestern High School in 1974. While at Southwestern, she was a proud member of the swim team, where she especially enjoyed competing in the backstroke. Along with swimming, Cheryl and her younger sisters shared a deep
love for music. While Deborah and Terri played in the orchestra and marching band, Cheryl and her sister Valda sang in the high school choir under the direction of Dr. George West.

a radiant, determined, and faith-filled woman of grace and resilience, Evelyn was born on May 20, 1947, in Center, Alabama, to the late Theodore and Lazella Tiller. On January 23, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, perseverance, and unconditional love. Affectionately known as "June, she was the third oldest of six siblings, Carolyn, Gary, Larry, Gloria, and her only surviving sibling, Harry Tiller. From an early age, June embodied strength, independence, and a quiet confidence that would define her remarkable journey. June attended Hatchet High School in Cherokee County, Alabama. Married and later divorced with three young children, she made a courageous and life changing decision in the early 1970s to relocate to Rome, Georgia, in pursuit of greater opportunity. Determined to create a better life for her family, she enrolled at Coosa Valley Technical College, where she earned her license and discovered her calling in nursing, a profession she embraced with compassion, intelligence, and tireless dedication.
