70 Years and counting!

This past weekend we celebrated our 70th Price Wright Green Family Reunion and what a blast we had. The Centre Committee really outdid themselves. Much fun was had by all.

Friday night we gathered at the meet and greet to pick up our family packet with the awesome anniversary T-Shirt. That night there was family movie night on the top of the Hill with popcorn and of all things, a candy bar. On Saturday, we had a cookout on the Hill and played lots of games. The kids even got to swing on the old tire in the front yard. On the last day of the reunion, we had our down home Sunday Dinner. The food was great, the fellowship was refreshing, and the family was love! Many family members were overheard saying that this was one of the best reunions that they had ever been too. All of the events were held at Howells Crossroad or what we refer to as "The Hill". This is where the very first family reunion was held celebrating the birthday of "Granny Sue" or "Aunt Sue", Susie Hightower. She was turning 75. Every August since then, the family has been gathering in cities all across the United States to celebrate our family unity.

This year being a special milestone, the Centre committee pulled out all the stops. There were big tents, pepsi trucks, food for days and more. We even had a taste fest sampling delicious recipes prepared by several family members.

We even made the paper, check it out: The Cherokee County Herald

Looking forward to the 2017 Reunion in New Jersey!
